Geocache Description:

Hard to believe we have been searching for ten years! It's time to hide a second cache to celebrate! We have enjoyed hiking in Marie Strese Conservation Area (off Ware Street) many times so we think it needs another cache. The trail system has grown over the years so it can accommodate a companion for Julie's Cache. (GCJ8DZ). The cache is a classic hide after a short walk. Continue along the loop for a longer leg stretcher. Enjoy!

When we were planning to place a cache celebrating ten years of caching, we were thinking about our previous caching adventures. Remember when: We looked forward to Jacob and Abigail's birthdays because Jungle Pete would come up from Florida and place a fun cache. We enjoyed the search for Jamis multis, no matter how long they were. Geocaching involved a walk in a great area, to a nice view where an ammo box would be hidden, with some cool swag in it. Pandagram dropped off painted turtles that you could adopt or move along. We raced WaldenRun and Cool Librarian in our Ducanoe to be FTF at a cache on Norton Reservoir. He tried to kidnap our rubber ducks when we were first. We didn't want to search in holes in Florida or Aruba because there are snakes and lizards in holes there. We found Flamingo Lodge on a cache log and spent two great nights there. Later that year, the hotel was taken away by a hurricane. We took a ferry, then rented a rent-a-wreck to drive on the left, to a cache in the middle of nowhere in Turks and Caicos. One of us "climbed" down Haystack Mtn on her bottom after finding a cache at the top--afraid of heights. We went to a geocaching event in Sanibel and met a fellow cacher with relatives living near home. We finally solved that puzzle that we struggled with for months. We got up to see the sunrise at the Grand Canyon, drove on Route 66, explored ancient dwellings, and saw the Meteor Crater. The best travel guide was logs of fellow geocachers. When you log your find, please share one of your caching memories!

Congratulations to Finn McPickle for FTF! Thank you for sharing your memory!
