This is another cache in the Pits area of Roswell. Many people ride dirtbikes, motorbikes, and four-wheelers on the trails in this desert terrain. My son and I often go walking/hiking on the trails. Despite the trash that people throw in the desert there, my son and I really enjoy this area and hope you will too!
We feel there are two options for your getting to the cache. First, if you have a vehicle that you don't mind taking on a very rough dirt road, you can drive very near the cache. The second option, if you are not comfortable driving your vehicle on a rough desert road, is to park at the baseball field and then hike 10 - 15 minutes on four-wheeler trails to the cache.
Expect typical desert things: cacti, goatheads, ants, etc. The weather can be extremely hot and dry, so please stay hydrated. Unfortunatley, there is also a bunch of trash in the area, including broken bottles. Please stay on the dirt road and/or four-wheeler trails until you get very close to the cache. Then, it is just a little bit off the beaten path.
