dmnrec: Yep, the construction has totally decimated the area! The Superior Hiking trail has been relocated east of where it was and the area where the cache was is totally plowed down. I seen on the plat maps that the Apostolic Lutherans do own all of that land now... guessing they are giving the trails the right of way and had the Superior trail relocated to make room for their new church.

Geocache Description:

This cache is to give Snow_Dog his 3000th find. For someone like me, that would be quite a marathon to get to that level. Hence, a puzzle cache based on a marathon that involves dogs in the snow....the John Beargrease sled dog marathon. This cache is also placed close to the Beargrease route.

This puzzle is so easy, even I can figure it out:

For the north coordinate, add 39 to the year John Beargrease was born: N46 5X.XXX

For the west coordinate, add 2371 to the last year John Beargrease delivered the mail: W092 0Y.YYY

The coordinates posted on this page will get you to where you need to park. After that, it is a park and grab.
