The cache is located at Kanakuso mountain pass.

金糞峠にキャッシュを設置しました。

Kanakuso mountain pass is the place where Hiroshige Andou wrote "Hira Bosetsu". In the winter, the access may become slightly difficult. Please do not attempt if you do not have experience or crampon.
正面谷の急坂を登りきるとそこは金糞峠（かなくそとうげ）。かなりヘンな名前ですが、この名は峠一帯の比良石(花崗岩)に由来するそうです。比良石には磁鉄鉱が多く含有されており、それが風化して堆積した様子から名付けられたと言われています。また、ここから見る琵琶湖方面の眺めは『比良暮雪』として近江八景のひとつに数えられます。広重など著名な浮世絵師たちが描いた景色をぜひ堪能してください。積雪期にはアクセスが少し難しくなります。冬山の経験、アイゼンなどの装備、それなりの体力が必要かと思われます。
