Our first cache. Named after one of our cats who turned up in the garden one day skinny and starving and proceeded to make himself at home.
Thwaite Common is lovely to wander around, with lots of wildlife to spot, and many different types of wildflower. It does get very muddy and boggy even during the summer months, so appropiate footwear is advisable. Cattle graze this end of the common, so watch out for exceedingly large cow pats and please be sure to shut any gates.
If walking along the roads please be aware of speeding cars despite the narrow lane!
There is a small parking area opposite the pond near Thwaite Hall, next to a convenient gate, or there is another gate further along near the junction with Chapel Road and possible parking near there. The cache is a short walk from either gate.
The cache contains a log only so please BYOP and tweezers
Congratulations to JAKNORY for FTF .
