This being the highest point, I had been trying to get to this peak for the past 2 years.
Blazefan is the cause of all this hiking, and I started planning in 2012 and run out of weather when it snowed on Grayback.
This was my third try at the hill, and I made it, starting at 9:30AM from Sturgis Fork TH, I got there about 2PM, it is about a 10 mile round trip hike.
The last 1/3 mile is all bushwacking, you leave the trail about 6500 feet, no trail at this part of the hike, waist deep brush and lots of rocks.
You need to plan this hike out, by starting early, take lots of water, (no water, at this elevation), some food and a light, it will get dark.
The Cache is an Ammo Can, with log book, and some trade items, trade items that will not rust or may mildew, it could be some time between vists.
The snow dose come down up there, watch the weather, and always tell someone were you are going, and when you think you should be back.
