The Chumash Trail is a brutal incline - moving up ~800+ ft vertical in ~.5mile and leads most of it's casual hikers to Mugu Peak which offers amazing views of PCH and the southern end of the nearby Navy Base. While hiking up here today, we saw fighter jets, radar planes and cargo planes making fly-bys which made for nice distractions (opportunities to take a break to suck in more much needed oxygen) on the way up. With the high number of casual hikers that come up here, you may even - if you're lucky (or maybe unlucky depending on personal preference) see someone carrying water up in their cleavage as this is apparently a common sighting here.
Today, we took the road less travelled up to this secondary peak with two existing caches.
While assembling a SPOR here, InsideVC dropped a large rock and created a puzzle SPOR for your enjoyment. Assembled with care all the while knowing it won't last. Enjoy it while you can :)
