Geocache Description:

Find this cache as the starting point for a geo-guided nature hike through beautiful North Missississippi Regional Park!

The listed coordinates are the starting point for a “virtually guided” nature hike through North Mississippi Regional Park on the Mississippi River. It will lead you on an approximately 2-mile nature hike through the park where you can learn more about this natural environment and do some hands-on activities to learn how the river touches everything in this landscape.

First, find the physical cache at the listed coordinates (big camoed lock and lock). The Blue Box inside this cache has the GPS coordinates for your five stopping points as well as your "tour information" and "activity equipment" for each stop.  BRING THE BLUE BOX WITH YOU. Travel to each stop, read the information for the stop and do the activities as you wish. There's no real "puzzle" or multi to solve, it's just for fun.

When you are done with your tour, please RETURN THE BLUE BOX to the cache, sign the logbook, and let me know in your online log what you learned or enjoyed. You can sign the log and claim a find without the tour - I'm not the cache police. : ) But I hope you'll do the tour as that's the point. There are other caches in the park to find on your way.

I created this cache for my Minnesota Master Naturalist Volunteer capstone project at the request of the nearby Kroenig Interpretative Center. Please let me know if maintenance is needed. I also want to thank mikedeotis for archiving his former hide here to make room for this one.  Thanks, and I hope you enjoy the cache!
