Geocache Description:

Part of a series of caches circumnavigating Cow Hill.

From a few metres either side of GZ there is a fine view of the Rio Tinto Alcan smelter (still referred to as "The BA") - one of the major employers in Fort William since 1929, and producer of 40,000 tonnes of Aluminium annually. With that in mind, I suppose the cache container should be made of Aluminium, but it's not: it's a piece of 22mm Copper piping with screw-lids on both ends, containing a log-sheet and pencil. Cache placed with the kind permission of the Forestry Commission Scotland.
