There are six artisans of Kokeshi dolls in Kuroishi city. You can see and buy them in Kuroishi. The shapes of them have many variations. They are made from maple woods or cornel. Please bring your pen.
黒石市には現在６人のこけし工人がおり、津軽系こけしが作られています。津軽系こけしは温湯温泉を中心に広がり、いろいろな形があります。アイヌ模様やダルマ絵、すそ広でふくらんだ胸などの形状が特徴です。イタヤカエデやミズキを使って作られます。筆記具を持参ください。
