Big Carnelian is a beautiful 450+ acre lake, popular for Largemouth Bass and Northern. It is a particularly good lake for ice fishing, with great water clarity and easy access.
This cache is located near the boat launch, which may present challenges at times, due to high traffic, and parking. In the summer, I recommend that you bring a lawn chair and after your successful find, watch the boaters landing and launching for free amusement.
Please follow parking rules carefully. You may need to park down the road about 1/4 mile during pleasant summer weekends.
