Opened in the year 2000 at a cost of $11M and nestling on the banks of the Mary river, The Brolga is the centrepiece for the performing arts in Maryborough. With a 900 seat auditorium and 200 seat federation Room the centre caters for everything from live conceert performances to conferences and even lavish wedding receptions. On Mpndays and Tuesdays from 9am until 2pm you can have a coffee and cake as well as other delicious menu items prepared by Maryborough's hospitality trainees in Creations restaurant.
Take a stroll down to the viewing platform and you can gaze up and down the river or across at one of maryborough's oldest boat builders. This business has been submerged many times by floodwaters but has always resurfaced to continue plying their trade.
