As usual, we've picked out a pine tree in Webster Park to decorate, and many of your old ornaments are on display. Feel free to leave your own ornaments on the tree, but do not take those others have left. There are paper clips in the cache with which to hang your ornaments, but no markers, so if you want to write your name and year on the ornament, do so before leaving home. Any ornaments left will be used in future years. The cache itself contains only pencils, a log book, and some paper clips. There are no trade items. The cache is a medium-sized plastic container. Parking is available near the entrance to the Webster Park campgrounds, and the total walking distance is roughly a half mile.
Sadly, this would appear to be my last year in charge of the cache. I will likely be leaving the area for a job when I graduate from RIT, and Zachman10 is quite busy and no longer active in Geocaching. But fear not! So many of you have made this part of your holidays that I will ensure it continues, and I may already have found a new owner for the cache. I'd also like to start a new tradition wherever it is I land. It's been ten years now. I'd call that a pretty good run.
Since Hannukah is so early this year, and I refuse to adhere to any form of political correctness, I don't feel bad at all in wishing all of you a Merry Christmas! Happy Hunting!
Yes, folks, the ornaments have been removed. One does not simply leave a decorated tree in a park for years.
