Geocache Description:

This cache is placed in Good Hope cemetery. Please no caching after dark and respect your surroundings.

I have infrequently traveled down rt 24 going to Mt. Sterling, Rushville, Beardstown, and Quincy in the last few months. I have noticed that although there are a few caches along rt 24 there is only one off of rt 100. So I decided to scout out the area bordered by route 100 on the southeast and route 24 on the northwest. I found a couple dozen cemeteries! Just sitting there! They were crying out to me that they wanted to be the home of caches. They wanted travelers to stop by, take in the beautiful scenery in the area, and appreciate the countryside. I narrowed it down to 20 cemeteries that I thought I could probably access and were still in existence. I lost count of how many are on a map, but no longer exist. A few you can see from the road, but would have to hoof it in on possible private land, so I crossed those off the list, too. I hope you enjoy this little country detour I have created for you.
