SGV Meet & Greet #6

Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013    4:30pm - 7:00pm
*Always the third Thursday of the month*

Clearman's Galley, 7215 N. Rosemead Blvd., San Gabriel
N 34° 07.685 W 118° 04.420

This restaurant is known to locals as "The Boat." Full bar, beer and wine. Eat and drink or don't. It's up to you. Plenty of parking. Heading south on Rosemead Bl., turn right into the driveway just past the snow-roofed North Woods Inn. Then head left to the Galley.

All welcome...geocachers, family, muggles, veterans and newbies. Meet old friends and make new ones. Bring trackables, geocoins, swag to trade, or just your stories.

Let's meet on the back patio: Enter the restaurant, head straight ahead toward the bar, then veer right out the doors. There's a patio out there which is less noisy than inside. *That said, if the patio doors have "reserved" signs all over them for another group, look for us instead in the middle of the main restaurant. We will be the attractive people staring at glowing devices/laptops.*

Raffle for geo goodies at 6:30 p.m. sharp.

This month, a special raffle item to entice you out so near the holidays...

Atomic Fish geocoin prize     This is an "atomic fish" geocoin, with a real porthole which opens. It's fully trackable, but you will want to keep it, dip it, perhaps allow it to be "discovered" at events. The publisher of FTF Geocacher magazine sells them as a sideline to fund the restoration of an old boat he bought. It's a fun magazine, and a fun souvenir, so come win it!

STILL...Donations for this and future raffles are needed; ready-to-place geocaches, bisons, camo tape, swag, log rollers, pathtags, trackables, magnets, anything welcome! Cash donations toward future raffle items also gratefully accepted.

We will have a swag box full of free items you can take for future caches.
