Big "X" ... Challenge Mystery Cache
retiredprof: In light of geocaching's recent changes to the publishing rules, I am archiving all 150 of my challenge caches. I am a retired psychology professor, not a computer programmer. I am simply unable to comply with the new geochecker rules. I am sad that I have to do this. For those who have already begun any of my challenge caches, please note that you can still log archived caches. If you have any problems with this decision, please contact the geocaching authorities so that your suggestions may be considered.

The cache is located along the east side of the Feather River. Park at the yellow gate (39 00.394/121 34.654) and hike south on the levee. After .15 miles veer west onto the river trail, and hike about a mile. You will eventually have to leave the hiking trail and use animal trails and/or bushwhack. Be sure to note the logging requirements below.
Your task is to find 26 caches, each beginning with a different letter of the alphabet, and each having a word in the title that contains the letter "X". These words must all be different, and not be slang, or foreign, or names or places, or involve Roman numerals. These words must be in my "American Heritage College Dictionary." No locationless or lab caches are acceptable, and only one cache from a series is permitted. You may use only 10 traditional caches in preparing your list. I hope you enjoy this challenge and don't find it toxic in any way...
