This cache will introduce you to a less known shoreline park that is quiet and beautiful. A perfect place to have a picnic or bring a book and relax.
To get to this shoreline park - you will have to drive through a security checkpoint and ask for a shoreline parking pass. The road to get there is a private community - but the park is public - so stay on the park road. They limit only 25 cars at a time, but the lot has never been full when I've been there. From the lot, you will take a short 200 meter hike through a pahoe'hoe field and end at the picnic area. I reccomend shoes since there are kiawe trees that drop thorns. This shoreline park does not have water access for swimming - but it does have stunning views and cliffs that the waves crash up on. It is a perfect viewing spot during the humpback whale season as the whales come very close to the shore.
