Geocaching 101 at Wickiup___ ___
It's about time for another Geocaching Class at Wickiup!

  • Did you recently receive a GPS and want to try Geocaching?
  • Have you heard of Geocaching and want to learn more about it?
  • Do you enjoy getting outside and seeing new and spectacular things?
  • Do you want a hobby that your entire family can enjoy together?
  • Do you have a sense of adventure and want to go to some really cool places?
If you answered Yes, then Geocaching may be for YOU!

This Event will consist of a 70 to 90 minute classroom presentation.
After the presentation, if you like, you can head outside and find some Geocaches!
The cost for the class is $2.50/adult, $1.00/child (16 and under) or $5.00/family.

Saturday, 15 March 2014
Timeline:
Noon - 1:30pm: Classroom Geocaching 101 Instruction
1:30pm - 3:00pm: Let's go find some Caches!
3:00pm - 3:30pm: Complete the return of loaned GPS'

Or call the Wickiup Hill Outdoor Learning Center at: 319 892-6485.
Please include the TOTAL number of people that plan on attending.

Do I need a GPS to attend?
No, GPS's will be provided with the Geocaches already loaded
If you have your own GPS please bring it & the data cable.


Seasoned Geocacher's are encouraged to attend this Event!
You will receive credit for attending this event (Log will be in place) & maybe you can help with the soon to be GeoCacher's!


The "Temporary Caches", 12 of them, may be logged as a "Find" via a new permanent Cache placement.
