Tylers Field Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Leonards193: After a maintenance visit today to find the cache had indeed gone missing, it is with regret that this one is now being archived.

Tyler's Field is a lovely location, tucked away as it is with lovely views.

Who knows, maybe another CO will place a cache here to find?

Many thanks for all those who found it, quite a few cachers have found this one as their first ever cache.

Cheers, L193

Geocache Description:

nano container in something a little larger, hoping it will naturalise eventually.

Please bring your own pen.

Tylers Field was the 2001 winner of the South Gloucestershire Quality Design award Environmental Project.

From the top of the hill, on a clear day you can see both Severn bridges.

These are record breaking trees! They are part of the world record for threes planted in 3 days won by Great Britain in November 2000. The mix includes oak, ash, pine, hawthorn.

The new trees will provide sheltered homes for many insects and birds which couldn't live in the open grass field. Along the sheltered edges of the wood, look for butterflies. Like people, they like sun and no wind.

There is a mix of short and long grass in the meadow.
