ON TOP OF ONYX ROCKY KNOB Traditional Cache

ON TOP OF ONYX ROCKY KNOB is a fun 4 mile round trip cross country adventure with about 1200 feet of elevation gain near the town of Onyx. You pass by the Onyx rocky knob cache so you get two caches for one trip as well as a great view of the scenic Kern River Valley.

To locate the parking area and etc. you can follow the directions to Onyx rocky knob and then just continue climbing cross country southeast up the ridge for about 3/4 of a mile. It is steep, and there are some great views of the high desert. 

Original contents are 2 pencil, 2 pens, log book, a five dollar bill for the FTF , one blue plastic strainer, one red plastic scoop, one green rake, one plastic yellow shovel, Hannah Montana magnet, a bolt, a plastic diamond ring, John 3:16 and three pennies.
