Soon after the cache, you will come to the office, stores, residences and chalets at the forestry station. Further on, is the abandoned Airforce base.
There are two self-catering chalets and they are very reasonable: (R428 / chalet during school term and R 580 / chalet during school holidays). Each one accommodates up to 5 guests. If you would like to enquire of book, you can call the office at 015 793 2541.
We had been up to Mariepskop many times over the last 20 years and eventually got to stay overnight. It was great!
