Geocache Description:

This cache is part of a puzzle series and it is designed to replace Canyonback #0 (GC1MME3)

This cache is located near the top (or beginning) of the Hollyhock Fire Road.  Access is available off of the Upper Canyonback hiking trail or you could start at the bottom and come in from Mandeville Canyon. The cache is a large camo'd PVC set up.  Please hide better or as found.  Contents at cache inception include log book, pencil, couple gliders, other SWAG and a button for FTF that says "I went geocaching and all I got was this button".

As stated above, this cache is part of a puzzle series.  Each cache (5 caches + the main = 6 total caches) will have a letter in it.  Write this letter down.  The collection of 5 letters will be used to unlock the main cache. All 5 Letter Caches in no particular order:

The Field Puzzle cache is GC4W6AT

Be nice - don't put the letter in your log!

Cache hints:

  • No real bushwacking is required but it is off the road.
  • Screw the lid back on tight but not too tight, we don't want to carry a big pipe wrench to undo the top!

Canyonback Trail information:

WP is included for the Southerly parking location (off Sepulveda, Up Mountain Gate, Left on Canyonback).  You can park at the North side of the trail off of Mulholland.  This is an official off leash dog hiking trail so bring your geo pooch and your poo bags.  Access to Canyonback and Hollyhock are through ritzy fancy schmancy areas - respect the neighbors so they don't lock us out!  Canyonback is an up and back trail.  If you wish to veer off and do all of Hollyhock Fire Road it is pretty much straight down and straight back up.  This cache is not very far off of the intersection between the two fire roads.

*****Shout-out to IndianaDunes for FTF*****
