Geocache Description:

This event is to kick-off a weekend of camping and festivites at Magnolia Springs State Park. Several activities are planned throughout the weekend, including an event hosted by the Georgia Geo-Campers on Saturday evening.

Please come join us for a night of fun. This event will be from 6-10 PM.

Here is an outline of the activities:

6-7:30 PM - Hosts will be providing hot dogs and chips during a meet & greet
7:30-8:45 PM - Activities and games, including a Starlight challenge
9-9:45 PM - Prizes and annoucements

Since we will be providing hot dogs for everyone, please annotate how many will be attending in your "will attend" log. We will need to know the number of adults and children in each party. Guests will be responsible for bringing their own drinks. If you do not care for hot dogs, feel free to bring something to throw on the grill. Our cook (PilgrimsProgress) will take care of it for you.

In order to ensure that we have enough hot dogs to go around, please note your will attend by March 6. That will allow us ample time to get the necessary supplies. If you log after that date, we cannot guarantee there will be enough food for you.

We will primarily be in the pioneer campground. However, some of the night's activities will take you to other areas of the park. What does that mean for everyone? Well, the main thing is that there is no electricity! So please be sure to bring your flashlights! You will definitely need a decent flashlight for at least one of the night's activities. Also, the restrooms in the pioneer area are outhouses - so there is your fair warning. Even though we will be sans electricity, there is running water. We will have some lanterns around the main event area, but obviously we cannot light up everything.

Please note that there is a $5 fee per day to enter the park, unless you have a park pass.

Even if you're not planning to camp for the weekend, please feel free to join us.

In addition to your flashlights, please be sure to bring yourself a chair, as seating is very limited.
