This cache is hidden on the edge of the site of the Suffolk Fat and Bone Co. factory. The company processed animal carcasses for fertilizer and glue. I remember the stench of the place when we first moved to the area in the late 1970’s though fortunately we were up wind most of the time!
A quick delve into the online archives has revealed the factory was in operation during the 1920s run jointly by a Victor John Chadd and Horace Stanley Copeman, though it was the latter who continued the business when the partnership was dissolved at the end of 1925 source The London Gazette, 6th July 1926.
The factory closed and was demolished in the early 1980s and nature has slowly reclaimed the area which is now criss crossed with a multitude of paths used by local dog walkers, horse riders and local children so a little stealth will be required.
You are looking for a small clip lock box in a camouflaged bag. A little caution is required at GZ to avoid the barbed wire.
