Geocache Description:

This cache is placed in a small section of trees on the road border between Farley Lane and Newton Lane. The name of the Geocache “Coppice Corner” is a hint as to where you might find this cache. There are a number of possible hiding spots around here with numerous old trees but this shouldn’t be much of a problem. Just keep your eyes peeled for muggles on horseback !

You are looking for a small clear 200ml grip lock container (10cm x 8cm x 5cm) that will not be visible standing on the road. Inside you will find the Geocache note, along with a log sheet. Please bring your own Pencil/Pen. There is space for a trackable should one find its way here or swapables.

Some terminology for you:
Pollard = To cut off the top and branches of (a tree) to produce a dense growth of new shoots high up above the reach of animals such as sheep.
Coppice = To cut back (a tree or shrub) to ground level periodically to stimulate growth, commonly used on Hazel and Willow. You can expect to see lots of smaller branches emerging from a central stump area.
