Geocache Description:

And Happy New Year!!!

I was meeting my wife here today to take her out to lunch. She was in a training class inside so I parked about 50 feet from GZ to wait. As I was waiting, I saw a portly, happy looking, white-bearded man, wearing a red coat with white collar and cuffs, white-cuffed red trousers, and black leather belt and boots just walking down the sidewalk.

I got out of my car and said, "Aren't you Santa Claus?" "Of course", he responded. I asked him why he was walking down the street. He told me that his car wouldn't start after he loaded up his car with presents from his secret warehouse. He said his car was just down the street but didn't know why it wouldn't start. His cell phone had died and was walking to find a phone to call a tow company. I let him borrow my phone but the tow company did not believe him. I overheard them say, "‘Oh yeah Santa’s had a break down has he? Why don't you pull my other leg while you're at it?" Then they rudely hung up on him.

Santa had a sad look on his face. I told him I'm not a mechanic or good with cars but I would try to help him out. Well, I drove him to his car and saw an old, red El Camino with presents all stacked up in the back. He opened the hood to take a look. (I had to take a picture to make sure I was really seeing what I was seeing)

As we were looking I saw that the cable going to his battery had somehow been disconnected. I reconnected it for him and he was able to start the car right up.

He thanked me and asked me what I wanted for Christmas. Since I was such a good boy for helping him out, he wanted to make sure he got me something I wanted. I told him all I wanted was new caches for me and everyone else to find. He didn't have a container so I gave him the only one I had in my vehicle. He shook my hand and was on his way.

I got an email later in the day from Santa. He went on and on about how he tried to log in but he didn't have an account. He tried to sign in and register for a new account but the names he wanted were already being used. He went on to say the publishing of geocaches was too difficult for him so he sent me the coordinates and asked me to publish it for him. What else could I do? I like presents too. So here is Santa's present to all of us.

Santa would love it if you would keep the giving of presents going for him. If you find this cache, and have it in your heart, please take the time to place a new cache for everyone else to find. Let's see if we can keep this going until next Christmas. Please don't let Santa down!
