I saw a Troll here as a teenager but none since then... but... you never know, eh ?
Depending upon when you visit there may be lots of muggles !!! Weekends in the summer see many Family picnics and kids at the playground. If kids are on the bridge please be stealthy - the cache has been muggled 5 times! .
During local heavy rains and high water events (flooding) you may want to wait on this one. It has been under water when we have checked it in the past, and you would need to get your tootsies wet to locate it comfortably. Since the dams on the river were removed, the cache area has not been flooded. If it is flooded, a few days wait for the Cuyahoga River level to drop and you're set to go. You can check the River level on line at the USGS River Information website for Ohio at the 'Old Portage' gauge by Akron Penninsula Rd in Merriman Valley...If it is below 1000 cubic feet/second then the area is probably OK - or - the 'Hiram Rapids' gauge if that one is below 500 cfs. It may still be muddy if the rains and flooding have been recent.
During the winter months at the mouth of the Kelsey Creek entering the Cuyahoga River you may encounter many ducks and geese.
Good place to be walking Fido.
This is a City Park so caching from dawn to dusk only.
