Une cache pour l'eglise romane Saint Jean-Baptiste qui date du Moyen-âge.

The lovely medieval church of Siest dedicated to Saint John the Baptist has got a cache now.

L'église est fermée la plupart du temps, pour visiter l'intérieur il faut s'adresser à la mairie. De l'autre côté de la route se trouve la Caverie de Lasalle, connue dès le XIV siècle. Les caveries étaient le siège des seigneurs caviers qui étaient chargés de surveiller les environs. La caverie est fermée au public. _____________________________________________________________ The church is closed most of the time; if you want to have a look inside, you have to ask at the "mairie" (town hall). On the other side of the road you can see the Caverie de Lasalle which was first mentioned in the 14th century. The lord "cavier" was in charge of the surveillance of the surrounding countryside. It's private property and can't be visited. ______________________________________________________________
