Just a short walk from the farm, this roadside pillar is just under a mile NW of the East Lothian hamlet of East Salton. The pillar is on the NW side of the road as shown on the map. Ten minutes worth of hawthorn pruning was required before this pillar could be photographed. Apart from the hedge, access is uninhibited. Views to Skid Hill and Lammer Law. The pillar (built 20th August 1943) is still in good condition. The spider has an OSTS cap, but it is not the original. The original cap would have had a shallow engraved font, this one has a raised narrow cast font.
