A nice scenic spot where the Yarra does almost a hairpin bend
Is this Far East Richmond or Far East Burnley? Different maps have the suburb of Richmond finishing at Burnley Street or here. In any case, Richmond, Burnley and Cremorne share the same postcode (3121), so this is definitely the easternmost tip of postcode 3121. To the north is Hawthorn, and to the South is Toorak (or is that Kooyong?). It's also 3km east of East Richmond station, just to give you an idea how large the area of post code 3121 is.
This is a lovely area by the river. The Yarra Boulevard winds its way around here from Swan Street to Bridge Road, and the Capital City bicycle trail follows it. The cache is located not far from a dirt track that offshoots the main bike trail - definitely worth doing if you have a mountain bike, though it shouldn't be a problem for most bikes, joggers, even those three-wheeled prams, and is a short walk from the road anyway. From here you can see some of the larger houses in Hawthorn, or maybe one of the many rowing crews going past.
The cache itself should be a reasonably easy find - make sure to put back out of sight, and watch for walking/jogging/riding muggles!
