Geocache Description:

You are searching for a large camo'd container.

Back in April 2013 I began caching in this area. I came across a perfect spot for a cache however when I went to place mine I discovered an unpublished cache there already... and it had a geocoin travel bug in it. I signed my name to the log and 'discovered' the TB and when I got home I researched the TB's history. It appeared the CO placed the TB in that unpublished cache a good 6 weeks earlier, so I contacted the CO and he confirmed that he would be out to move the cache (it was too close to another cache) and/or retrieve the TB.

Well, fast forward 8 months and I revisited that same spot to see if the CO fulfilled his promise. As I kind of expected, the cache and TB was still there. So, without taking any other chances and making this TB wait even longer I rescued the travel bug so that it can resume its adventures and travels.

I had actually intended on hiding a cache over here today as I finished finding some of the newer ones, and though this traditional cache is certainly different than what I had hoped to hide/publish, it certainly is worthy in its own accord. I hope you enjoy this large cache (there typically isn't many large caches around) and perhaps it too will see a fair amount of TB coming and going.

The cache is just off a two track shelled path and doesn't require much bushwhacking at all. There are thorny vines heading in from the two track to GZ so cachers should use caution. When rehiding, please be sure to close the lid securely as this is a new type of container another cacher gave me to try out. There is a rubber gasket to help keep the contents dry provided the lid is closed properly. Of course, please recover with natural vegetation to conceal it from the trail.

Thanks and happy caching!

Congratulations goes out to SafeChrisLaurie and Jackie33619 for the coveted First To Find!!!
