Geocache Description:

Bendigo Creek Trail (BCT) 02 - Peppercorn Trees

Native to tropical southern America. Naturalised in Mediterranean and semi-arid regions around the world. Invasive species in Australia especially in and around riverbanks, forests, shrubland, coastal dunes, beaches, grassy woodland, riparian vegetation, rock outcrops, forested wetland, canyons, coastal vegetation, seasonal water courses and rocky escarpments.

I hid this cache with a hidden agenda. To raise awareness of invasive species along Bendigo Creek in particular the section between Lake Weeroona and Huntly, and hopefully discourage people from planting them at home. Birds eat the seeds, birds poop the seeds and our waterways become infested.

Enough preaching. The cache! :) You're looking for a small sized cache, get to know this invasive species, I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for.
