(RO) Vechea biserică reformată se situa în apropierea cetăţii. După atacul curuţilor din 1704, apărătorii au distrus biserica, fiindcă din turla ei se putea uita oricine în interiorul cetăţii. Groful Teleki József a putut începe construirea actualei biserici doar în anul 1715. Avonul sculptat în piatră şi cadrul uşii de la intrare au fost aduse din biserica veche şi montate aici. Grof Teleki moare în 1735, lucrările fiind continuate şi terminate în 1740 de soţia acestuia Bethlen Kata, care s-a căsătorit cu Teleki în anul 1722.
Din prima căsătorie cu Haller István a avut un copil, care a fost luat de episcopul de Făgăraş, pentru a-l feri de religia reformată. La fel s-a întâmplat şi cu cei născuţi din a doua căsătorie. Astfel Betlen Kata rămasă fără soţ şi copii a preluat numele de Arva (orfan), şi şi-a dedicat viaţa propagării religiei şi actelor de caritate. A sprijinit construirea a 20 de biserici, a înfiinţat şcoli, a ajutat şcolarizarea copiilor săraci, iar pe femeile din Făgăraş le-a învăţat să brodeze şi să coase. Bod Péter, a scris textul de pe mormântul ei din faţa bisericii. Pe avonul şi masa Domnului din biserică se poate vedea rochia de mireasă brodată de ea în care s-a căsătorit cu Teleki József.
(EN)Old Calvinist church stood near the castle . After the attacks of 1704 kuruc defenders destroyed the church , because of its spire could look anyone in the castle . József Teleki Grof could only start building the present church in 1715 . Avon carved in stone and the front door of the old church were made and assembled here. Grof Teleki died in 1735 , the work was continued and completed in 1740 by his wife Kata Bethlen.
István Haller first marriage had a child who was taken by the Bishop of Fagaras, to avoid the reformed religion . The same happened with those born in the second marriage. Thus Betlen Kata devoid husband and children took the name Arva ( orphan ) , and has dedicated his life to the propagation of religion and charity . He helped build 20 churches, established schools, schooling helped poor children and women in Fagaras he learned to embroider and sew . Péter Bod wrote the text on her grave in the church. Avon and the table of the Lord in the church can see her embroidered wedding dress that married József Teleki .
