Here is another great trail head that takes you to the beach where you will find different types of adventures awaiting you.
As you go down the trail you will see a small house to the left. The man who lives there was surprised to see Gaijins but was happy to talk to us. He said it was okay to come through so don’t worry about walking over the wooden plank next to his yard, because it’s the only way to keep following the fishing trail to the beach. His parking spot is at the top of the trail head so please don’t park there.
After you pass his house, keep following the trail to the beach or if you want a little more adventure you can walk down the creek just to the left of the main trail. Once you make it to the bottom please take time to look around. We spent over 5 hours exploring here and still did not make it through all the places we wanted to go.
Mrs. Gaijin was exploring the beach for sea glass so Piggy and I took off to the right for a little exploring and boulder climbing ourselves. As we turned the corner we came across a large slanted rock formation that seemed interesting to climb. Piggy was down below exploring by himself so I thought it was safe to make the climb up since it was too steep for him. As I approached ¾ of the way up I found a little nook to place a small cache container. As I was opening my cache bag, Piggy came running up next to me. He stayed the entire time but whined since there was no place for him to sit. So if Piggy can make it up here then so can you. Please don’t attempt this cache if it’s raining and wear non-slip shoes. I hope you enjoy the view.
We didn’t explore any further to the right past this rock formation, who knows you might get lucky and find a few great hiding spots yourself.
