Santa’s Slip Up

Twas days before Christmas and what did I spy? A sled pulled by reindeer up in the sky.  I took down the coordinates (N 40° 07.500, W 75° 16.890) by the side of the road as the apparition above glimmered and glowed.  As it passed in the air I noted the speed then I checked on the wind by tossing a seed.   For exactly 10 minutes and 15 seconds I gazed, the sled flew overhead at 22 meters per second it blazed.  The reindeer flew southwest by adjusting for the wind, no effort apparent, the sleigh driver just grinned.

Then all of a sudden I saw a cache box fall out of the sleigh, from a height of 1.6 km it fell all the way.  There was a West wind of 10 meters per second that was steady and crisp, I dreamt of finding this treasure in the cold morning mist.  Acceleration due to gravity of 9.8 m/s2 does not vary, so get working and scribbling, do not tarry.

Notes:

The sled flew straight and true correcting for the wind.  The falling cache box was affected by wind but you can ignore air resistance. I used FizzyCalc to project the coordinates.  Set projections to Rhumb Line for this cache. You are looking for an ammo can.

Congrats to Spatial Distortion and SMA on FTF!
