If you begin at the end of SUnrise Ridge Rd you will have less of a climb to this and the other caches in this series. Ignore the obnoxious signage at this trailhead about the trailhead being for local residents only.
Go to the trail junction and take Briones Crest trail uphill to encounter three creatures haunting the forest here!!
At the starting coordinates you should be next to a tree which some Nincompoop has stuck a metal pole into. This is the first "creature". Now, walk uphill, up the trail, and eventually you'll see a large, old tree on the right side, one with many large limbs. (See photo). That is the second creature.
Continue along, and very shortly you will come to another "creature" on the left side this time, a very thick trunked and moss-covered tree that is mostly lying horizontal. (see photo) This is the third creature. Circling around the far end of it, walk 27 paces pretty much straight uphill toward a tree with a bush in front of it. In the small bush (in a bison tube hanger) is the Nincompoop Naiad who put the bar in the bough. (see photo)
