Geocache Description:

Very historical area. Easy to find.

Between 1878-1872 the Oregonian Rail Road Company laid 183 miles of track from St. Paul, through Silverton, and on to Coburg. It later merged with the Southern Pacific Transportation Company, which used it for feeder service to their own operations. The railroad was used to transport logs into Silverton. It was also used for the Fischer Flour Mill to ship cereal, flour, and feed. The railroad also supplied silverton with passanger service until the 1930's.

It is black small-medium sized cache with a green official Geocache sticker.
