Geocache Description:

This is a tricky little magnetic. Please be sure to replace it properly to avoid soaking the log sheet later.

Located in Okmulgee Oklahoma, this theatre opened in 1919 as the Cook Opera House. Then on August 23,1920, with 1,200 seats, as the Orpheum Theatre. It was Erected by L. H. D. Cook. In 1974, the former balcony was converted into a second auditorium.

The interior has been restored and one can view the early 20th century craftsmanship while viewing a movie, on one of 2 screens, in the confines of a truly historic building or simply visiting the lobby.
