When a new road and underpass was built from downtown Petitcodiac, this new road crossed the Ranch Road cutting it in two and the old entrance off the Pollett River Road was closed off. The continued use of the blocked off portion prompted the erection of a guard-rail barricade. Determined users now just go around the barrier! In its hey day the Ranch Road led to a race track, dance hall, canteen, and entertainment shows, now all long gone.
