Cmentarz założony w połowie XIX w. znajduje się na wzgórzu przy ul. Polnej. Nekropolia mierząca 30x50 m mieści około 120 macew. Większość nagrobków wykonana jest z piaskowca. Gdzieniegdzie widoczne są macewy z marmuru, granitu i popularne przed II wojną światową nagrobki z betonu. Inskrypcje nagrobne w języku hebrajskim i polskim wskazują, iż część z pochowanych tu osób nie była mieszkańcami Krynicy. Najprawdopodobniej byli to kuracjusze, którzy spoczęli w miejscu swojej śmierci. W czasie okupacji na cmentarzu odbywały się masowe egzekucje Żydów. Po wojnie cmentarz popadł w ruinę. Wykorzystywano go jako wysypisko śmieci. Obecnie teren jest zadbany i otoczony kamiennym murem. Prace porządkowe i renowacyjne zostały sfinansowane przez Leona Gatterera oraz Urząd Miasta Krynicy. Teren cmentarza jest administrowany przez Żydowską Gminę Wyznaniową w Krakowie.

The cemetery was founded in the mid-nineteenth century, is located on a hill next to Polna street. Necropolis measuring 30x50 meters and we can find there about 120 tombstones. Most of the tombstones are made of sandstone. Here and there are visible gravestones of marble, granite and popular before World War II graves with concrete. Sepulchral inscriptions in Hebrew and Polish suggest that some of those buried here were not residents of Krynica. Most likely they were bathers who were buried at the site of their death. During the occupation, the cemetery there were mass executions of Jews. After the war, the cemetery fell into disrepair. It was used as a garbage dump. Currently, the area is well maintained and surrounded by a stone wall. Janitorial and refurbishment work was funded by the Leon Gatterer and the City of Krynica. The cemetery is administered by the Jewish Religious Community in Krakow.
