Christmas Crackers 2013 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

daunts: Time to leave this site, too many muggles and too much interference. It has been a great site since Tom was in residence at the hospital, and thanks to many visitors to the site for their support for RCH and its patients.

Geocache Description:

What to do with all the odd bits of stuff that come from Christmas Crackers each year - silly jokes, strange trinkets, and so forth? Put them in a cache of course!

This one should be an easy find, but in view of many rooms of the Royal Childrens Hospital. The reason it is here is that the family, including caching families the Melbermans and Caddy07, came together at RCH to celebrate Christmas 2013 with Melbermans Tom who is laid up in the hospital for a few weeks.

The cache location is in plain view from Tom's room, and the FTF and other early finders should give a wave to Level 2 rooms nearby - Tom will be there till some time after New Year, and he will be keeping an eye out for finders.

***late January update, and Tom has returned home, so no need to wave to him, but a good idea to acknowledge all the other kids who have to spend time here, often for very serious conditions.*** ***February / March update, and Tom is back in RCH again and in the same room as before. He appreciates the greetings of all finders. We are hoping that he might get home again around mid-March with luck.*** ***All is finally well with Tom, and he has left that world behind him. Playing cricket, basketball, and anything else active that he can do. So, for all the others laid up in RCH, this is for them - you can still give a wave to them!

Please make sure that the cache is well covered to protect it from wandering muggles and maintenance people..

As usual, our family TB, Christmas Bear, has been placed in the cache to begin his travels for the next 12 months, hopefully to come back to the family at an appropriate location for Christmas 2014.
