Geocache Description:

Welcome to Stansbury Park Lake. I fell in love with this neighborhood as soon as I saw the lake and now I want to share it with you.

As you approach the cache, you should get good views of the lake on the North and South side of the causeway (I had a few sign options and felt this offered the best views).

Should be an easy cache. You can park for the quick grab, but I suggest parking and walking up the sidewalk-- the serenity will have you longing to live here too.

Bring some bread to feed the ducks and geese!

Stansbury Park Lake used to be home to Small Mouth Bass, Carp, and Sunfish Bluegill. Deep freezes in Feb 2013 suffocated most of the fish and now I'm not sure what is stocked in the pond. The fish population is sustainable and it is only in instances like this that the pond needs stocking.

Motorized boats are not allowed in the lake unless it is an electric motor. Many of the people in the surrounding neighborhoods participate in kayaking, canoeing, and even wind-surfing. Ice Skating on the lake is popular during the winter.

Fishing is catch and release only.
