Geocache Description:

There are 81 different possible difficulty and terrain combinations ratings for caches. The easiest caches are rated 1/1 and the more challenging caches can go up to a 5/5. Groundspeak sets guidelines for cache owners to use for rating the difficulty and terrain of their caches. Your progress toward finding each combination is shown on your statistics page.

Mini Fizzy Challenge: Find 40 of 81 possible Difficulty/Terrain Combinations.

The original Fizzy challenge required one of each combination as well as at least one of each different type of cache. Its a tough challenge. GC11E8N – Well Rounded Cacher (The Fizzy Challenge), the original Fizzy Challenge cache, was placed in California by Kealia to honor cacher, FizzyMagic, a cacher in San Francisco Bay area for his contributions to geocaching.

The cache is at the posted coordinates along the Chuckawalla Trail. However, this is a challenge cache and you must first complete the geocaching-related tasks below. Feel free to find the cache and sign the log, but you cannot log this cache as "found" unless you meet the requirements. The difficulty rating is based on completing the challenge, not on finding the cache.

The Chuckwalla Trail lies in the foothills just above Rancho Mirage City Hall and below the residences of the Mirada Development. Along the 2 mile trail you will find nice views of the Coachella Valley. The trail is steep in places with a 400 ft elevation gain. Be sure to bring plenty of water and wear sunscreen. There is very little shade along the trail.

If you do not qualify for this challenge, your log will be deleted.
