Washington Street School Traditional Cache

Winter friendly.

It was a school, but it's not a school anymore. I went here from kindergarten through third grade.  I remember the walk and how I loved playing in the water and picking up worms to gross out the boys. The school has been converted into condos where each of the old classrooms has become a unit.  It still smells the same however and the hallway decor hasn't changed.  Even the numbers on the unit doors look like the old numbers when I went there. Ah, the nostalgia. The ditto machine was my favorite and I always volunteered to make copies.  I quite liked the smell though I'm sure now it wasn't good for me.

Now that you know the history of this building you can understand why this street is named school street even though there are no schools on this street.
