Perimeter Pendent Traditional Cache

This cache rests on the outer perimeter of a huge animal sanctuary that features species from all over the world.   Who knew there were Giraffes in Louisiana?!   YOU NEED NOT enter the wildlife facility nor trespass on the grounds to reach this cache, but you may be lucky enough to get a glimpse of some of the many animals when approaching GZ!   

This cache is being set to serve as a little memento for us, since we lived the better part of our childhood out here - way before the wildlife center was established.    We spent entire days wandering in the woods, playing in the dirt and never worrying about getting lost or hurt.   It was a great place to grow up!    The immediate area where this cache is stashed is known as "Uneedus" (pronounced: YOU NEED US); which I always thought was a weird name.   Just down the road there's a 90 degree turn (on the Hwy40) known to the locals as "Cranky Corner" and where the best blue plate lunch in the world was served at the little store just around the bend.
