W lipcu 1865 r. - 24 lata po otwarciu - w budynku Teatru Miejskiego (obecnie Opera Wrocławska) po spektaklu wybuchł pożar, w wyniku którego zniszczeniu uległy loże i balkony, rekwizyty, biblioteka i instrumenty muzyczne. Odbudowa trwała 2 lata, do 1867 r. Zaledwie 4 lata później, w czerwcu 1871 r. w trakcie opery „Wesele Figara” wybuchł kolejny pożar. Ogień pojawił się na górnych piętrach, ale dotarł także na widownię i scenę. Kolejne przedstawienie odbyło się kilkanaście miesięcy później (warto w tym miejscu przypomnieć, że współczesny remont Opery trwał... 9 lat) Dodatkowo w 1856 r. Teatr Miejski został zamknięty z powodu problemów finansowych. W czasie walk o Festung Breslau o dziwo budynek ocalał, a już we wrześniu 1945 r. wystawiono w nim pierwsze powojenne przedstawienie (w orkiestrze grali wtedy także Niemcy). Potem było już tylko lepiej. W Operze występowali sławni śpiewacy (np. Karolina Seidler-Wranitzky), odbywały się światowe premiery, m.in. światowa prapremiera „Erosa i Psyche” Ludomira Różyckiego

In July 1865 - 24 years after opening - in the building of the Municipal Theatre (now the Opera House ) after the performance there was a fire , resulting in the destruction of boxes and balconies , props , library and musical instruments. The reconstruction lasted two years , to 1867, just four years later, in June 1871, during the opera " The Marriage of Figaro " , another fire broke out . The fire occurred on the upper floors , but also reached the audience and the stage. The next presentation was held a few months later (it is worth recalling at this point that the modern renovation of the Opera House lasted nine years ... ) In addition, in 1856 the Municipal Theatre was closed due to financial problems. uring the struggle for Festung Breslau strangely building survived, and in September 1945 issued in the first post-war show ( in the orchestra played then also Germany) . Then it was just better. The famous opera singers performed (eg Carolina Seidler - Wranitzky ), held world premieres, including the world premiere of " Eros and Psyche " Ludomira Różyckiego.
