NOTE: This walk will take approximately 1.5-2 hours in each direction depending on your walk speed. The new walking track can be followed for 99% of the journey. Just the last 50m or so requires stepping off the track and into the river This is a great part of the Billy's Creek national park not normally visited by walkers. The day we hid this cache, the Park Rangers were out there clearing the track which takes you DEEP into the forest for the first time in over 20 years. This provides far easier access to this cache than what was available prior to 2014.
The leaky cauldron cache takes you deep into the Billy's Creek National Park, to a location and terrain type that is far from what you'd expect to observe this close to Churchill.
The cache is hidden in one of the most beautiful parts of Billy's Creek, where you will find yourself standing at the base of a 6-7m tall rock wall that is constantly dripping with water. I'd be inclined to call it a waterfall, but the flow rate is quite low. This adds to the Harry Potter-esque feel to this location though.
To get to the cache, be prepared to get wet, as you'll have to be at least thigh deep in water to get to this location.
