Una de las formaciones rocosas más curiosas de La Pedriza son las piedras caballeras, es decir, piedras en equilibrio aparentemente inestable que están situadas sobre otras piedras, o sobre repisas, o sobre plataformas. O incluso unas piedras caballeras sobre otras formando una torre llamada TOR (Tres Cestos, Cinco Cestos, etc).
Algunas están en un "mírame y no me toques" o en un "tente mientras cobro" de equilibrio tan precario, que tal pareciera que se fueran a echar a rodar ladera abajo al mínimo empujoncito, en cualquier momento... de quizás varios millones de años.
Algunas de ellas tienen ya un afamado nombre (Cáliz, Cantocochino, Tortuguita, Foca, Tacita, Platillo Volante) y otras son simplemente anónimas esperando que alguien las rescate del anonimato.
Algunas tienen su propio caché (Cáliz, Tortuguita, etc), otras están demasiado cerca de otro caché (el Platillo Volante demasiado cerca de La Calavera, etc.). Y otras se merecen un caché al mismo tiempo que salen del anonimato.
Esta serie de cachés pretende precisamente eso, mostrar piedras caballeras curiosas, sin nombre ni fama, pero atractivas y pintorescas.
EL RISCO
Este risco es visible fácilmente desde Manzanares el Real, dada su proximidad al Depósito de Agua del Canal de Isabel II.
Gusarapo se define como animal de aspecto vermiforme, es decir gusanoso, y eso es lo que parece el Gusarapo, por las rocas superpuestas que semejan los anillos del gusano.
También es muy conocido por los escaladores, pues las vías de mediana o escasa dificultad lo hacen muy adecuado para iniciarse.
EL CACHÉ
Para llegar al caché hay que tomar la senda que va desde el aparcamiento del Depósito de Agua en el punto que se indica como waypoint adicional.
Una corta subida de escasos 100 m de desnivel os llevará sin pérdida al risco.
El caché se encuentra en las entrañas del Gusarapo. Para encontrarlo deberás entrar por uno de los esfínteres de Mediodía, concretamente, el de Poniente, muy cerca de la vía de escalada "El Bocazas", V+, que recorre el propio Gusarapo por su cara Sur.
Una vez dentro de los intestinos, deberás incorporarte, como buscando el corazón del bicho, y localizar el caché por encima de tu cabeza.
Retira las piedras con cuidado no se te caigan encima y dejándolas preparadas para esconder el caché de nuevo. El contenedor es una caja mediana de plástico con algunos objetos para intercambiar, y que acepta algún Travel Bug. Los primeros niños que lo visiten pueden tomar algún regalo sin necesidad de intercambiar. Así dejarán sitio libre para los Bichos Viajeros.
Procura que no te vean entrar y salir con el caché en la mano, o de lo contrario, durará menos que un pastel a la puerta de un colegio.
EL BONUS CACHÉ
Para conseguir el Bonus Caché PIEDRAS CABALLERAS, deberás coleccionar el valor de las letras situado en el interior de la tapa de cada caché de la serie PIEDRAS CABALLERAS. Con esos valores se podrá calcular las coordenadas del Bonus Caché. No olvides apuntar el valor de la letra C.

One of the most unusual rock formations in La Pedriza are the balancing rocks, which are stones in an apparently unstable balance that are located on other stones, or on shelves, or on platforms. Or even on an another balancing rock forming a tower called TOR (Tres Cestos, Cinco Cestos, etc).
Some are in a "look at me and do not touch me", of such a precarious equilibrium, that it would seem to start rolling downhill, in any moment ... of perhaps several million years.
Some of them already have a famous name (Cáliz, Cantocochino, Tortuga, Foca, Tacita, Platillo Volante) and others are just waiting to be rescued from the anonymity.
Some have their own cache (Cáliz, Tortuga, etc), others are too close to another cache (the flying saucer too close to the Skull, etc.). And some others deserve a cache.
This series of caches intends just that, to show curious stones, without name or fame, but attractive and picturesque.
THE BOULDER
This ridge is easily visible from Manzanares el Real, because of its proximity to the Canal Isabel II Water Reservoir .
Gusarapo is defined as wormlike animal aspect, and that's what seems the gusarapo overlapping rocks that resemble the worm rings.
It is also well known by the climbers, because of its medium or little difficulty climbing ways, very well suited for beginners.
THE CACHE
To reach the cache, take the path that goes from the parking at the point indicated as an additional waypoint (Water Reservoir).
A short climb of only 100 m will lead you to the Gusarapo cliff without any possibility of loosing your way.
The cache is located in the Gusarapo inside. To find it you must enter one of the South sphincters, specifically, the West one, very close to the climbing way called "El Bocazas" "The Big Mouth" V +, that runs by the South Gusarapo side.
Once inside the worm intestines, you should stand, as if seeking the heart of the beast, and locate the cache over your head.
Remove the stones with care, minding your head because of falling stones and leave them ready to hide the cache again. The container is a medium sized plastic box with some items for exchange, and it accepts a Travel Bug. First children visiting can take a present without exchanging gifts. So they will leave free room for TB's. Try not being spotted in and out, with the cache in your hand, so it will not be easily spoiled.
THE BONUS CACHE
To get the Bonus Cache PIEDRAS CABALLERAS (BALANCING ROCKS), you must collect the value of the letters on the inside of the BOX COVER of each cache of the PIEDRAS CABALLERAS series. With these values you can calculate the coordinates of the Bonus Cache.
Do not forget to write down the value of the letter C.
