This is an East Bay pick-up of a series I started in Marin County, dedicated to the most loveley of machines, the Bicycle.
It's hard to stand underneath all of the Jetson-esque elevated roadways, the congestion, the hustle'n'bustle, and the absolute stark lack of pedestrianism, without wondering if maybe we are doing it wrong. But, hey, light a candle, right?
Ensconced in all this is a bikeway- technically part of a (rather slapdash) network that circumscribes the Bay- and it is almost certainly unnoticed by the volume of traffic surrounding it.
“Peace. It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart.” – unknown
