Geocache Description:

A wee cache placed on my way up to get  GC40RVD: Tom's Panorama as an incentive to bring a few more people to this pleasant little hike up a wee hill to some fantastic 360 views across Aberdeenshire.

This cache is placed on the way up to Tom's Cairn, a peak of 310m high with a trig point and a few wee stone cairns. There is a path all the way up which is well signmarked. Parking is available at the bottom of Tillycroy farm road, see Waypoint. The actual track begins from a signpost and gate into a field just along the road from the car park. Follow this all the way to the cache location, and further if you fancy!

It is worth continuing to the top if you've made it this far! You are rewarded with fab views all around - I visited on a day with low cloud cover and rain all afternoon but could just about make out the different peaks you should be able to see. According to GC40RVD: Tom's Panorama, the cache at the top, you should be able to enjoy views of:  Scolty Hill, The Durris Transmitter (with 5 red lights) and Kerloch Hill to the East. Clachnaben and Peter Hill to the South. Mount Keen, Lochnagar, Ben Avon and Ben a' Bhuird to the West. Bennachie to the North.

Cache is placed with an amazing tree! Make sure you look inside it, it's rather interesting to see! Reward for the FTF is an unactivated Scottish token as a prize!
